How bout another 6'5" 220 WR...
We could probably get this guy in the 2nd or 3rd. If we lose Bowe it becomes a big need if not it really isn't, but gawd would that give us a stable of HUGE athletic freak wideouts that could hopefully make a QB a bad as Cassel look at least decent...
Brian Quick Appalachian State <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/oh5X0_c1DZo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> had 71 catches for 2100 yrds and 11 TDs this year. Thats roughly averaging 0 yes a catch and over 200 yes receiving a game. pretty insane numbers. If 1st couple highlights are vs Virginia Tech too and pretty nasty so he has produced vs better competition. Runs a legit 4.5 40 |
If we lose Bowe I don't want to see another possession receiver lining up on the other side of Baldwin.

We need a speed guy.
I like Joe Adams from Arkansas in the late rounds. He will likely be a slot guy but he can run. We need someone to take the top off the d, like Wallace does for the Steelers. Adams isn't that fast but he would be more effective in the slot than McClusster. |
God I'm sick of you guys looking for "speed receivers". They don't all have to be crazy fast. Rodgers and Brees have benefited greatly from guys who catch the ball. Most of the receivers on the Packers and Saints run 4.5 or worse, and the guys who ran sub 4.5 probably don't anymore.
What we really need is a QB who can hit a receiver downfield or at least lead a guy on a crossing route. |

It wouldn't hurt to have a guy that can jsut run past people tho to get those safeties to play a few yards deeper. It woudl only help. Call me crazy, but I would really like to see what Orton could do with a fully healthy stable of Chiefs skill players plus some draft picks. |
This guy looks legit. WANT.

Recognized as a basketball standout throughout his prep career and played just one season of high school football … made most of first year of organized football since Little League with 885 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns as a senior … participated in the prestigious Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas … an all-state, all-region and all-area gridiron selection … named team's offensive MVP … coached by Raymond Jennings.
Just keep bringing basketball standouts to the NFL....I'm very intrigued by this guy... |

We might have seen a bit of that this year if Moeaki and Charles hadn't been injured. Face it, Pope and whoever weren't really commanding anyone's respect. Baldwin never really got out of the starting blocks and QB is forever a problem. |
Hell, if he could pack some meat on his frame, he'd be a great prospect at TE.
|
He's actually 6'3 1/2 222lbs, but that's still great size. And he knows how to YAC it up.

Looks pretty athletic.
It's not like investing a 3rd into a guy is the same as a 1st. I don't care what our WR situation is. Depth is a good thing. I'm not saying I'm all in on this guy. I don't know much about him. But if the Chiefs were to draft him? I wouldn't complain saying "we don't need a big, tall, athletic WR." Sounds silly just typing that. ;) |
If we keep Cassel we need a real tall WR that can catch the ball before it hits the goal post.
