Russel Wilson? Really? Complete failure.

You're worried about a sixth round pick? Guy is an athlete and a leader. If he were bigger would probably project higher. For a project #3 starter you can't ask for much.

He's not just short. He's awful in the pocket. You can't get much closer to a wasted pick than Wilson, unless you are looking at him for a different position.

I will take a blown 6th on a QB that will never play in the NFL over a G at 11. Good grief...

Whatever we do this offseason, whether in the draft or free agency, we do need to address the second RB position.

Even if Charles comes back at 100%, he can not be expected to carry the load.

And you can not expect a 7th rounder to be the guy to share the load, and Jackie Battle is not the answer.

Why do these mocks keep having us taking a guard at No. 11/12? Horrible positional value, if we are going to do that, we need to be trading down.

Munson 02-01-2012 06:35 PM

Taking a guard at #11 is like taking a 3-4 DE at #3. The value just isn't there. Even a RT at #11 is a terrible value. But it wouldn't surprise me if Pioli drafted a G or RT without trading down.

I hear that answer every year. Just trade on down. Must be real easy to do that. Who do you think the player is that will get to our spot that everyone wants to move up for. Don't mention moving down. Its a lazy answer. Plus you don't give your own alternatives.

Even so, taking a G? We don't even really need a G. Just getting Wiegmann out of the middle can hold us for a year. Lilja still has 1 year left on his contract. BRich on the other hand needs to ****ing go, yesterday.

NO WAY we cut Piscawhosis.:spock:

RealSNR 02-01-2012 11:10 PM

I know DeCastro is one-of-a-kind and all.

But jesus ****. Guard. A god damn ****ing guard.

New England has no problems doing it.

Nor did McDaniels with Denver.

FA: Carl Nicks

Also, wouldn't be surprised to see Cortland Finnegan or Brent Grimes brought in for a look if a deal with Carr goes south.

People make too much out of positional value. At the end of the day if you get an excellent player, it was a good pick. How hard did everyone laugh when the Raiders took a kicker in the first. He's won many a game for them.
