Beat by several hours, but whatever separate topic for it now I guess

I said before last year that he should have taken over at center around the halfway point once Weigmann dropped weight and became ineffective. According to advanced stats websites like PFF, I was completely correct in that assumption.

Sucks to know more than Bill Muir, but thems the breaks.

Hudson
Asamoah
Reiff

Boss you are a Hawkeye guy, what does Reiff bring to the table? Is he a legit pick at 11?

I don't think he lasts to the Chiefs pick.

He can be a probowl quality rt or an average LT.

Ill say that much.

Im not a big fan of his TBH.

He is sound, but isnt as good as some claim he is. He is benefiting from not being tested by really good pass rushers last year and is a solid linemen.

He will never be a probowl quality left tackle IMO.

He would lock up the right side for 10 years with quality play and would give us insurance against Albert leaving next year.

The guy will remind everyone of John Tait.

The question is: Do you spend the #11 overall pick on that?

To answer your last point: I don't think so. There's a difference between drafting a RT at 11, and drafting an LT at the same spot and moving a former first round pick to RT. The latter scenario is akin to drafting an LT, and having to pick another one four years later if he's a bust. If that were to happen, though, we'd have a hell of an RT instead of a first-round LT bust. Much better scenario.

Both scenarios are about equal.

The only difference is that you know from day one that pissed away value from day one when you select a RT.

If the Dolphins find someone opposite of Cameron Wake in FA, I'd say they will certainly take a RT in the draft. Panthers could use him too, as Otah is fragile.

I heard that the only reason we didn't go 10 and 6 is cuz Big Barry blows. So that makes me feel like rt is important.
