Ok Perkstreet has pissed me off

Here is the deal...

I am with Perkstreet and I was getting 2% cash back (in the form of a pre-paid Mastercard Debit) Which enabled me to get my Perks tax free, now they have changed their policy and they no longer use this method, instead they want to charge me 2 dollars for every 20 dollars in perks to put back in my account which I am sure will be taxed..

Total BS... Where should I go next?

1 Local credit union
2 My regular bank
3 Get a credit card with cash back option since I am going to pay it off in full every month anyway...

If you suggest #3 tell me which card to get...

I don't have a great credit score because I don't use credit (have one card and pay it off every month to make online purchases.)

I'm a huge fan of my Discover Escape card, but it does have a $60 annual fee, so you have to use it a lot to make it worth it. On the other hand, they give you a $10/month points credit for 25 months when you sign up, so it's a great deal for a couple years anyway.

It's essentially 2% on everything if you use it on Amazon or for "travel credit" (for any hotel, rental car, air fair, or tourist attraction purchase).

What kind of credit score do you need?

it says 699 as I said I have 0 debt + 1 credit card and thats it, no outstanding loans and all accounts I had never had a late payment and are marked paid as agreed

The only cards that are really worth a damn are the ones with an annual fee, IMO.

I'm pretty happy with my Chase Freedom card, but haven't really looked into anything else in a while.

chase sapphire preferred card, fwiw.

get 2 of them (not 2 cards, but 2 separate accounts), one for you, one for your wife.

**** it, I will just take it in the shorts and give em 2 bucks for every 20 perks I earned.

Not true. I have a free Amex Blue Cash card that pays me around $1,000 a year.

Instead of essentially $600 of free travel just for signing up for a card?

Good plan.

They don't give you a shitload of free money for simply filling out their application. (and getting accepted)

Actually it's probably a bit more than that. On November 9 I redeemed $500, and I just redeemed another $500 today. So based on that, it would be more like $1,500, but I've bought a lot of shit this last 4 months.
