OG Vernon Carey?

Metro Sports predicts the Chiefs will try to sign OG Vernon Carey from Miami? What do you think about him? He was the 19th pick in the 1st round of the 2004 draft. I think he's been playing RT with Miami.

They also think the Chiefs will make a play for DT Luis Castillo from the Chargers as well.

One week after reporting the Dolphins would "probably" re-sign free agent RG Vernon Carey, the Palm Beach Post now considers Carey a "longshot" to return. The Post is now on board with the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, which reported in January that "Carey's value is much higher elsewhere than in South Florida." A liability on passing downs last season, Carey is unlikely to draw much interest as a starter going into his age-31 campaign.

We should get him

I think he only gave up a few sacks last year and played right next to total dog shit at RT, so I'm not sure how he'd be a liability on passing downs.

I'd take a pass on him though.

Supposedly the Bolts have a contract extended to Castillo, just depends on if he accepts. Can't post the link from Rotoworld at work.

Suppose the Bolts fall off the edge of the earth, think anyone would notice?

I think we can get Vernon Carey.

FA Geoff Schwartz might be a better choice. He can play tackle or guard.

6'6'', 330 lbs and 25 years old. Was a starter in 2010, but out last season with a hip injury. He's supposed to be ready to play now. Getting interest from several teams.
And he has experience in power run schemes and zone block schemes.
