Pat Robertson thinks a Manning injury would "serve them right"
http://content.usatoday.com/communit...1#.T2xoCo4yei9
Robertson is not happy with the Broncos shipping out Tim Tebow. So unhappy that he's wishing Peyton Manning bad karma. Robertson has his own bounty out on the new QB. Robertson said Denver treated Tebow "shabbily" after all he did for the "nothing team" last season. "And you just ask yourself, OK, so Peyton Manning was a tremendous MVP quarterback, but he's been injured. If that injury comes back, Denver will find itself without a quarterback. And in my opinion, it would serve them right," he said on the 700 Club. Robertson has had Tebow's back before. He blasted Saturday Night Live for doing a skit that he felt made fun of Tebow's religious beliefs. |
It's still a nothing team. Can't wait for Caleb Hanie to be forced into action.

This guy is a complete loon and always has been. Some of his other greatest hits:

Any failure on the field would serve the Broncos right.

I am finding myself in the awkward position of agreeing with this nutjob.

Pat should stick to the Bible. He obviously does not understand karma.

Im a Christian and think Robertson is a complete nutjob.
Just an idiotic thing to say. Why can't people stop talking about such a crappy player? Good grief. Posted via Mobile Device |

He said they treated Tebow poorly (and they did) and said last year's Broncos were a nothing team (they were). He said if Manning were to get injured, they would be without a QB (they would) and it would serve them right (it absolutely would serve them right if they go into the season with Caleb Hanie as the backup, TYLER PALKO beat him). |

Do you people actually read the article? He said nothing about karma, he wished nothing ill on Manning, he just said IF Manning happens to get hurt and leave the Broncos without a viable QB, it would serve them right. And he is 100% accurate.

I think Robertson is a freaking loon in this case.
Take off our Chiefs blinders for a second and look at this decision from a pure football business standpoint. Who do you take between Peyton Manning (even if coming off injury) or Tim Tebow if your the Chiefs? If you said Tim Tebow your a freaking idiot and then some. Tebow is a great guy that any parent would love to have their daughters marry but lets be honest here, this is football and he isn't going to win you a damn Super Bowl. This is the NFL, the name of the game is winning Championships. Having Tebow on your roster is like having Matt Cassel in the long run. The Chiefs wanted Peyton Manning badly, that should tell you everything right there. So Robertson is butt hurt that the Broncos are moving a bad QB for a proven NFL winner? Just because the guy they are moving is the second coming of Jesus??? Robertson needs to stick to preaching and leave football decisions to those that know football. |
