Behold, the long awaited "Rest of draft" strategy.
Mr. Pioli, and the rest of you peasants. I have finally spoken. I have assigned a pool of players from which the rest of the picks shall be drafted. So shall it be written, so shall it be done:
2- Brock Osweiler (QB), Amini Silatou (G), devon Still (34DE), Cordy Glenn (G/T), Kelechi Osemele (G/T) 3- SPfA*, Brandon Brooks (G), Brian Quick (WR), Jeff Allen (G/T), Isiah Pead (RB), Derek Wolfe (34DE), Billy Winn (34DE) 4- Brandon Taylor (S), SPfA*, Philip Blake (C), Cyrus Grey (RB), Brandon Moseley (T), T.Y. Hilton (WR) 5- SPfA*, Kyle Wilbure (LB) 6- SPfA*, Najee Goode (LB), Terrence Ganaway (RB), Ryan Steed (CB) 7a,b- SPfA*, Chris Owusu (WR/KR), Eric Page (WR), Jerrell Young (FS), Scott Solomon (DE) OK jokes aside, I like to get your feedback as to why this is a good plan or not. * (SPfA = Sliding Player from Above) Note: When a certain position is addressed the subsequent players for that position drop from the list. |
BTW, I know Pioli likes to draft a QB late, but in each round, I did not find one matching the value. An earlier round for any consideration was a reach IMO.

What's your obsession with offensive line in the 2nd and 3rd rounds? It's not like the talent at guard in those spots is insane.
If we did something like Brandon Thompson in the 2nd and Brandon Taylor in the 3rd I'd much rather have that than Glenn or Silatolu (both are guys who don't fit very well for our scheme anyway) |
I'm cool with it except for Osweiler

A bit of editing to the list. Time to see how accurate it will be.

JEFF ****ING ALLEN!!!!
I had him in the 3rd rounders pool! :cuss: How is he a better pick than Silatou, Glenn or Osemele? |
