Albert and Bowe
Now that Pioli is out and the walrus is in...do we hang onto both Bowe and Albert? I think Andy above all understands what a healthy, true number 1 wideout and left tackle can do for your club.
I think we have to
When can we sign them?
Hope so.
I hope so. They're key pieces.
Wouldn't mind Maclin as #2 WR to Bowe as well. The cap space is there. |
I hope so. I would assume that you want to keep as much talent as possible. It's not a matter of cap space for sure. And we know we don't have a cheap owner.
It comes down to roster evaluation. My hope is to sign Bowe and tag Albert at minimum. That way, we can either address Albert next offseason or we can draft a tackle in the middle of the first round, hoping that we move down the order next year. |
And they're forced to spend this year correct?
Both are critical to the development of a rookie QB.
One of the biggest mistakes that Fat Scott made was trading Gonzo when we were trying to "develop" Cassel. You don't get rid of a security blanket for an inexperienced QB. Just ****ing stupid. But, hey, at least we got Arenas out of the deal. FML. |
Hopefully at least one of them. Or else we'll have 2 holes to address during the draft in addition to QB.
Reid liked Albert in the 2008 draft. Albert (reportedly) likes KC. He'll be here.
Bowe is the only question. |
Would be stupid not to -- if we don't we're dramatically downgrading and/or requiring that we burn our pick on a position we already have covered (provided Clark ponies up the $$$)...
I know Bowe likes KC and is a fan of Clark so we shall see.
I do think Reid and his down the field approach bodes well for Bowe's approval. Bowe knows that Reid's going to go get a legitimate QB.
