The final heat of Round 1 brings us some interesting candidates. Pick 2.

My votes:

#1 - Neon Deion. Prime Time. The only guy who gave himself two nicknames.

#2 - Todd Christensen. One of the most self-absorbed players I've ever seen.

#3 - Bo Jackson. I would normally give him a scathing rebuke for dodging the draft, though in his case I've heard that there was some gamesmanship on both sides.

#4 - Vince Lombardi. He's freaking Vince Lombardi, the greatest coach of all time.

Wasn't Bo Jackson a humble guy?

I always though that his ego wasn't big....but his marketability was especially big though.

Other than the draft dodging, I never saw anything in him that screamed ego.

I guess you could argue that the whole two-sport thing and showing up mid-season every year could be an ego thing. It certainly placed his interests above his teammates in Oakland, because he chose his hobby over being a good teammate. But it's not an overt ego thing.

Deion is a no brainer.

Deion should be final 4. He's ego personified. I actually kind of like him, but goddamn, the ego on that dude.

Lombardi is my other vote. He was a great coach, but he also seemed to truly believe he was God.

Which is silly, because I'M God.
