Now, who's your first half MVP?
I did one of these after the 4th game to determine who everyone thought was the first quarter MVP and a lot of people apparently think the P in MVP stands for coach. We all know that the coaching and scheme changes have been monumental in fueling this turn around; I want to know who you think has been most valuable on the field.
Here's a link to the last poll, in which Houston ran away with the honors, so you can see how your vote may change or stay the same: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/bb/poll....s&pollid=11358 I know it's hard not to go with the hot hand in these types of polls so it'll be interesting to see how votes are spread out this go 'round. Try to keep in mind that your consideration should include player performance over the past 8 games, not only the most recent weeks. So, do you still stick with a Houston or Poe who started off at breakneck pace but cooled off over the past few weeks? Maybe go with a guy that was kind of quiet the first few weeks but really come on in the last month like a Hali or Cooper? Or maybe switch it up and go with someone that's been rock steady over the course of the season like a DJ, Berry or Charles? Discuss. *I wanted to try and keep the names as similar to the first poll as possible, but I'm going to add McCluster and Marcus Cooper. |
Gotta be Charles on offense, Hali on defense. Although Poe comes really ****ing close.

D.J.

Still coaching
|
Charles.
Without him, this offense is non-existent. Our defense wouldn't take as much of a hit if we lost a guy, IMO. |
Jamaal Charles by a mile.
Our defensive players are great, but Charles IS the Chiefs offense. |

Clark ****ing Hunt !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Defense DJ, Offense CJ. So D>O have to go with JD this time.
|
Goddamnit, I didn't see Dustin at the very end.

Offense: Charles
- Duh, this is a no brainer. Everyone else on offense sucks. Except maybe for Albert and/or Sherman. But they don't come even close to deserving the award, I'm just saying they're the only ones who haven't completely sucked. Defense: Poe - Why not Hali or Houston? Because without Poe's domination at the NT spot, Houston and Hali wouldn't be nearly as effective as a unit. A NT in a 3-4 is the most important position if you want to get to the QB often. I was unsure about the pick but man he could anchor this defense for years. Gotta give credit to Romeo and Pioli when it's rightfully due. Great pick so far. Special Teams: Colquitt - Another reason why our defense is so good, we're giving them awesome field position everytime they step onto the field. That limits what opposing offenses can do, and it certain gives the defense an advantage from the beginning of the series. |
The schedule maker.:)

Colquitt, of course. How soon you all forget.

No Eric Fisher option? This poll sux.

Poe by a country mile... all of the little things you see and don't see?
Yeah, its Poe making that happen... dude was fighting doubles literally every play sunday and still managed to make a difference. He can hold your biggest two men up and STILL work down the line for the tackle. |
