I thought about trying that the other day.

I think one of the worst things to come out of prohibition that most people don't know is it permanently wiped out almost 80% of the beer breweries in the US creating damn near a monopoly by the big boys after prohibition was repealed. Prior to prohibition there were small breweries all over the country making all types of beer.

Prohibition also made home brewing illegal. When prohibition was repealed home brewing was still illegal until 1978 and in some states it was still illegal until recently.

I'll just never understand how a bunch of prudish women browbeat this country into making illegal in the first place.

What a stupid era that was.

My only guess is alcoholism was somehow much more rampant then than it is now.. which I'm not sure I totally believe but it's all I really have to go on.

Honestly, i kinda doubt it was any worse, i just think many womens attitudes were much more prudish back then.

I'd like to see Carrie Nation go into some bar these days and try to bust it up lol.

I've tried to get into bourbon for years, given it so many shots. It's just too harsh for me. Vodka any day of the week over bourbon.

Ah. I usually remember this day every year and go to a nearby pub to announce and toast. guess I'll have to do that after work.

I hope the bitch is roasting in hell. She's essentially the mother of modern organized crime.

Piece of Kansas shit.

..than quality bourbon. Bourbon is not the realm of cheapskates. Its an example of $$ makes a difference. Vodka? WTF difference does it make if you are mixing it with sugar water anyway.
