Watches: Citizen Eco-Drive, Tissot or Victorinox?
Looking for a new watch, and seem to have it narrowed down to three. Would love to spend $1000+ on a watch, but decided to keep it under $500.
I keep coming back to these - wondering if anyone has any experience with these specific watchmakers, or have any suggestions in my range. Thanks! do they make any like that for under $75
I know you get what you pay for, and those are all some REALLY nice watches - I like the citizen myself - but wowza on the prices - props to you good sir |
I've had a Tag Heuer for a decade. I've had 3 Citizen Eco-drives during that time as well. The Tag is still running strong and looks like the day I bought it. The Citizens are all dead and discarded.
I recommend saving some money and waiting until you can purchase a bracelet with a sapphire chrystal face. That's the most durable face out there and Citizen doesn't use it. |

The Tissot and the Victorinox have sapphire crystal faces, IIRC. |
The wife just got me an Omega for my B-day, man it's nice.
Save up and go for a little bit nicer watch. If you like watches it is worth waiting. |

The only way I can go without losing a time keeping device is if I can call the damned thing. |
I collect and work on watches. Can't go wrong with an Omega Seamaster, although if 500 clams is your cutoff, you'll be looking at a used one. Get an automatic and not a battery powered quartz watch

I certainly don't want to spend $3k on a watch. |
Have you thought about used.
You can get some good deals. |
I was watching television with my wife...literally yesterday...and saw a Citizen commercial and asked her, "who the hell buys a Citizen watch"?
|
Rolex.
