Zelda - Hyrule Warriors announced
 

Today Nintendo announced "Hyrule Warriors". Developed by Nintendo and Tecmo Koei, this game is supposedly a crossover between Zelda and Dynasty Warriors. Luckily, this isn't the main Zelda Wii U game fans have been waiting for. Phew!

I haven't really sat down and played a Zelda game from start to finish since Ocerina of Time, and Majora's Mask. Those games were the tits.

The new Zelda on 3DS is awesome. Just like the SNES version.

You gotta be careful taking Link out of his own game, that's a recipe for disaster.

Because Super Smash Bros. was such a failure.

Don't worry, Soul Calibur 2 (The Gamecube Version) ended up holding its own.

I really really want that. I'm also a huge Kid Icarus fan, so there's definitely reason for me to get a 3DS XL.

My first instinct was to say that this must be fake, based on that trailer; I'm not one to nitpick over graphics, but that looks like a nice PS2 game at best.

Coming from a guy who spent dozens upon dozens of hours playing most of the Zelda games (as well as Dynasty Warriors 3 and 4), the trailer doesn't do the game any favors. Both the graphics and the gameplay look entirely awful.

I think I might have mentioned it in another thread, but the new 3DS Zelda game is awesome, especially if you already liked the existing 2D Zeldas. The 3DS is honestly one of the best game consoles available right now, and it doesn't show any signs of slowing down.

Link to the Past is one of my favorite games ever, and definitely my favorite Zelda game.

I said you have to be careful, characters that are as loved as Link aren't taken out of their comfort zone too often. It only takes one game for gamers to riot if they feel their beloved characters are placed into games simply for a payout by using their names. This has a Ninja Theory Metroid Other M feel to it IMO.

I wasn't overly impressed with the Kid Icarus game. I honestly had more fun playing the "3D" remake of the original.

WHAT'S THIS?! WHERE? HOW? WHAT?

It's on the 3DS eShop. It's easier because you can save your game.
