The Chiefs have the superior Colquitt brother (Or: My bet with MagicHef)
In my numerous back-and-forths with Direckshun and others, MagicHef wanted in on a Chiefs vs. Broncos wager. After some negotiating, the terms were decided. Punter vs punter. Colquitt vs Colquitt. Brother vs brother.
Through PFF, we'd look at a raw score of each punter (net average + punts inside 20). Best cumulative score at the end of the year would win.
It has come down, and the winner is Dustin. Don't ask me about the numbers, because I don't have a PFF subscription. But it's true. MagicHef told me the results today.
As punishment, beginning February 9 and ending March 1, MagicHef will be writing a short 4-line ode verse to begin all of his posts. These odes will all pertain to the brilliant Chiefs career of Todd Collins.
MagicHef, as a point of departure for the research you may want to uncover, here are a few items you might want to mention in these odes:
- Mitch Holthus liked to call Collins "The Maytag Repairman"
- He never did get a fair look as a starter, especially in his early Chiefs career under Marty and Gunther, when that bozo Grbac was getting injured or playing poorly
- There were only two CPers who never stopped believing in T3h 0dd T0dd: Rausch and SNR. Nobody else. Everybody else was all about Jonathan Quinn or some gay shit like that
