We need to extend Alex Smith

Alex played the game of his life and he was BETRAYED by the defense

Alex Smith dropped 44 points on the Colts and somehow still lost. Alex is a hero. 44 points can win you a SUPERBOWL. What happened to the best defense in the league? They sure weren't out there tonight. You could cut all of them and it wouldn't matter. What matters is having Alex.

Sandy Vagina 01-05-2014 02:43 PM

Not necessary, but if they do? fine by me. :)

Mr_Tomahawk 01-05-2014 02:44 PM

As long as Bray made the backup.

Raw Raw Raw, Great Post!

Wait till next year, please!

chiefquarterback10 01-05-2014 02:49 PM

at some point, yes. I think they have found their QB for the next 4 years.

This is a lame post, obviously made by a troll! No one could be so blindly devoted to a single player!

For the right price. I wouldn't give him more then 12-14mil/yr and be able to get out of in a few years. I'd still keep looking at qbs in the draft though as he isn't an elite qb,

jd1020 01-05-2014 02:55 PM

I'm fine with extending him a reasonable contract if it means cutting Daniel and drafting a QB to go head to head with Bray until one is ready to take over.

Eleazar 01-05-2014 02:55 PM

He'll get his extension. I think he sewed it up yesterday.

Sure as hell played like one on a big stage last night with very average weapons.

If we don't sign him then someone else will

Could you imagine what kind of contract the browns would offer Alex?

You can wash his nuts all you want. He DID play his best HALF ever, but couldn't finish the deal. The "defense" can claim a whole hell of a lot of the blame, but missing a wide open Gray for a TD, the fumble, grounding call (he damn sure could have thrown it at Shermans feet), and then throwing the final ball to Bowe out of bounds can't completely absolve him of blame.

chiefquarterback10 01-05-2014 02:56 PM

he didn't really miss gray. gray broke off his route like an idiot

KCFaninSEA 01-05-2014 02:56 PM

Alex has shown he is an asset and not a liability but he is already making his worth. A raise is not in order but this team can win with him and other fixes.
