We need to extend Alex Smith
Alex played the game of his life and he was BETRAYED by the defense
Alex Smith dropped 44 points on the Colts and somehow still lost. Alex is a hero. 44 points can win you a SUPERBOWL. What happened to the best defense in the league? They sure weren't out there tonight. You could cut all of them and it wouldn't matter. What matters is having Alex. |
Not necessary, but if they do? fine by me. :)
|
As long as Bray made the backup.

Raw Raw Raw, Great Post!
Wait till next year, please! |
at some point, yes. I think they have found their QB for the next 4 years.

For the right price. I wouldn't give him more then 12-14mil/yr and be able to get out of in a few years. I'd still keep looking at qbs in the draft though as he isn't an elite qb,
|
I'm fine with extending him a reasonable contract if it means cutting Daniel and drafting a QB to go head to head with Bray until one is ready to take over.
|
He'll get his extension. I think he sewed it up yesterday.

Could you imagine what kind of contract the browns would offer Alex? |
You can wash his nuts all you want. He DID play his best HALF ever, but couldn't finish the deal. The "defense" can claim a whole hell of a lot of the blame, but missing a wide open Gray for a TD, the fumble, grounding call (he damn sure could have thrown it at Shermans feet), and then throwing the final ball to Bowe out of bounds can't completely absolve him of blame.
|
he didn't really miss gray. gray broke off his route like an idiot
|
Alex has shown he is an asset and not a liability but he is already making his worth. A raise is not in order but this team can win with him and other fixes.
