Mock Draft...No Trades
Round 1.23: Dee Ford, DE, Auburn (B+)
We need guys who can rush the QB and make plays. Ford is a beast. Round 3.87: Terrence Brooks, FS, Florida State (B+) His numbers aren't great, but part of that is getting overshadowed by the other studs on that defense. Former CB, I believe. Round 4.119: Donte Moncrief, WR, Ole Miss (A) I love this kid's playmaking ability. Probably drops to here because of poor measurables, but he just makes plays. Round 5.151: Stanley Jean-Baptiste, CB, Nebraska (A) Great size and good skill. Can be coached up in waiting until we either have to release or replace Flowers/Smith. Round 6.177: Christian Kirksey, OLB, Iowa (A-) What would one of my mock drafts be without an Iowa Hawkeye? In all seriousness, he's been one of the most consistent playmakers over three years of starting on a very good defense. He can cover, tackle, etc. Maybe you even move him inside. Round 6.183: De'Anthony Thomas, RB, Oregon He's a gadget guy, but strikes me as pretty good value in the late 6th round. |
Poor measurables? Moncreif? If you think being 6'3" at 225 pounds and running in the 4.5 range is poor then I guess so, lol. Reason why he drops is because of his inconsistent play last year, not his measurables.

Teams love speed. Thomas goes no lower than 4th round.

Guys like Moncrief, Abbrederis, and Mike Davis intrigue me in the middle of the draft. |
