Tony Gonazlez Unhappy He Wasn't Traded - Ruh Roh

Man is this guy ever happy or what?

Evidently he wanted to be traded to play for a contender.

You wanted to play for the Atlanta clowns so shut up TG your check cleared.

Geez....

"You trade me to a team that needs me, that wants to make a serious run in the playoffs and the Super Bowl. You get something in return for a guy who you know won't be here next year. And the season isn't going anywhere anyway. That's rational."

At the trade deadline, Gonzalez sat at a restaurant with his wife and waited to hear which team it would be. When that call never came, he was not happy."

Reerun_KC 02-08-2014 10:21 PM

He is a prima donna jackass that has never won anything meaningful. He doesnt help teams win playoff games.

jjchieffan 02-08-2014 10:24 PM

It was dumb for Atlanta to not trade him. What did it benefit them to keep him for the rest of the season? Now he's gone anyway and they have nothing for him. I blame the Patriot way.

He's also unhappy that this is a repost

It was crazy not to deal him but they wanted too much for a guy that will only play two months more. I read a second and Tony thought they would just do the right thing like KC did. His fault.

Kinda sad and petty, claiming your team didn't want to make the playoffs.

Mojo Jojo 02-09-2014 12:11 AM

Really who is going to give up anything for a guy who's only there two months. When was the last time a last minute TE addition catapulted a team to a Super Bowl victory?

Simply Red 02-09-2014 12:13 AM

This man is a dick.

cosmo20002 02-09-2014 12:15 AM

What were they at the trade deadline, 2-5? Bad, but not out of it. Can't blame Atl for not trading him. It would have been like telling the rest of the team and the fans--give up, season's over.

New Orleans and Seattle were 6-1 at the time, and Green Bay and San Francisco were 5-2. Carolina and Chicago only 4-3, though, and the NFCE was the NFCE, which is where the Falcons could have been hanging their hats. Unfortunately for trade thinking, the Panthers and Falcons played the week after the deadline instead of the week before. Had the deadling been after that 34-10 whooping instead of before, the Falcons might have been more willing to move Gonzalez.

ShortRoundChief 02-09-2014 02:02 AM

**** him.

Love me.

salame 02-09-2014 02:06 AM

Why does everyone still pine for him?
He was a jerk when he left
