Would You Take This Guy At #23?
Allen Robinson (Penn State) thoughts? :hmmm:
PLAYER NEWS 04/29/2014 - 2014 NFL Draft Wide Receiver: *Allen Robinson, Penn State, 6-3, 220, 4.60...Fluid athlete for his size with room to get stronger. Deceptive acceleration with sharp cuts to be a dangerous catch-and-go pass catcher. Physical ball-carrier with balance and body strength to shake off defenders and pick up chunks of yards after contact. Has shown return ability. Reset his own school mark in 2012 with 97 catches for 1,432 yards. His combined 174 receptions and 2,445 receiving yards the past two years both rank No. 3 in Big Ten history for consecutive seasons. Frankly: If there is such a thing as a blue-collar receiver, Robinson is that guy. He knows the whole pro-style pass route tree from experience in Penn State's offense and although he lacks the speed most teams want, he is a big man with enough explosion to go 39 inches in the vertical jump. - Frank Cooney, The Sports Xchange https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bR9EWfVyMuY |

If cooks, Beckham, and even Lee are all taken by #23 I'm looking at a trade down or new position. No reason to reach with #1 when there will be talent there in the 3rd. I'm just not a big fan of Robinson
|
6'3" 220 with awesome production.....dealt with situation of being the star of team with all the craziness that went on at Penn State and improved and got better putting up even bigger numbers and re-breaking his own records at Penn State. Best WR out of there in awhile. Isnt a burner but can see him being a solid NFL WR. loaded WR draft class but he is one of the best of the group id say. Worth a look at #23 at least

I would be disappointed, but I understand taking a WR. Would rather take Matthews if CP's big 3 are gone
|
nope
would have been better if this was a poll. |
No.
We can get a similar talent in the third. |
Would depend on the remaining available players.
|
1 of the boring but needed improve on the lines in the middle.
OG Xavier Su’a-Filo OG Joel Bitonio DT Ra'Shede Hageman Then in round 3 WR Jared Abbrederis |
I'd prefer someone with a little more speed. The kid's a hell of an athlete though. Put up big numbers at Penn State. Runs good routes.

As per Robinson himself, I was more impressed with his highlight reels than any other WR this year. The kid is dynamite! |
