Planet Sub?
 

Just landed them as a new account in our direct mail publication and since they're new to our city don't know much about them and was hoping to get some feedback on what others think of their products.

Nothing with Planet in it is any good.

Their bread is pretty good. Fan of their meatball sub and their soups. Would recommend.

We did a ranking of these things and they came in somewhere in between Subway and Firehouse Subs. Probably in the Jersey Mikes/Mr Goodcents league.

Not as good as they used to be. But get the Tijuana Taxi sub cream cheese for mayo

They're my favorite sub shop. I don't eat there often because my favorite sandwich (The Planet Sub) is really high calorie.

They moved into Emporia right before I left. Far far better than subway.

Love Yellow Sub in Lawrence, love Planet Sub when the expanded to KC metro, ecstatic when one showed up in St. Louis.

To top it off, the first time I visited was when my parents came to visit, the place was fairly dead, but the day manager was the only guy on duty. He was little ticked the the higher ups hadn't brought in some help, apparently a couple employees called in sick or something. It took a little longer to get our subs, but we ordered small subs and he gave us large all around, brought it out to us with cups for soda and chips as well.

Sammiches were loaded.

Me and pops went Beefeater, moms went Tijuana Taxi.

That's not a tall order, though. In the last five-ish years, Subway has gone straight to shit. No idea what's happened with them, all I know is that I avoid Subway kind of like how I avoid McDonald's.

That doesn't take away from Planet Sub being yummy, though.

Spicy blackbean soup is really good, as is their tortilla chicken soup

They are staffed by dirty stinking hippies, so you know that shit is going to be tasty. NOBODY does uberdelicious comfort food like dirty stinking hippies. They have perfected the genre; years of testing while suffering from munchies...

Lol, all of that.

Their Bacon Cheddar soup is lights out, as well.
