So I finally bought a cell/mobile phone...

Yeah, this is my first phone.

Ever.

HTC One M8.

Seems to be nice.

I turned it on after a week in the box and, lo and behold, it worked.

So, now what do I do with it?

What apps do I need?

What is Twitter?

And most importantly, what is the best music player for the Android system? Most of my music is in iTunes due to the previous use of their iPod. Is there a way to get that over into the phone and in a decent music player on my phone?

You're way behind the curve. You should start slow. Just make calls for a couple of years before you try anything else.

You should check out VCRs. You can record a show and watch it later.

Depends on what you want, but your best FREE bet is to use Google Play Music and store them in Google's cloud so you can access them from any device in the future and don't use the space on your phone.

Won't someone take my music if it's in "the Cloud?"

That doesn't sound too secure.

I held out as long as I could.

I'm sorry.

Okay...

I've been doing a bit of research and the "audiophiles" think that Neutron is the shit. Anyone use the Neutron Music Player?

(And I understand that the term audiophile is a bit of a misnomer when talking about MP3 files on a phone, but it sounds like it's attempting to get the most out of those files in terms of sound quality.)

Ha, no. It's secure. It's your own personal cloud account that Google gives you free.

But won't I have to have a data stream to access it?

And isn't there a downgrade to sound quality if it's being transferred from a CD to MP3 than upload to a "cloud" then downloaded from there to my phone?

I really bought this because my iPod took a crap and figured that I might as well get all the rest of the shit as well as a music player in the process.

Saccopoo 08-12-2014 09:33 PM

Also, if I download and install a music player app and hate it, then remove it, is it going to destroy all my music files at that point?
