Cincinnati RB Chamoda Kennedy-Palmore killed in crash

University of Cincinnati running back Chamoda Kennedy-Palmore was killed in a motorcycle accident Thursday.

A Cincinnati Police Department spokesperson said Kennedy-Palmore, 19, was on his motorcycle when a car crossed two lanes of traffic and struck him, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. The school has confirmed the death and released a statement from Bearcats coach Tommy Tuberville.

"Our football program and University has suffered another great tragedy," Tuberville's statement read. "I'm a father first and a coach second and it's always hard to put your thoughts into words during times like these. Chamoda was a talented non-scholarship player and a key member of our scout teams. He worked hard and earned his spot on the roster. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family."

Kennedy-Palmore had made the roster through a walk-on program.

According to Cincinnati police, the accident occurred near the intersection of Vine Street and Forest Avenue. The school said Kennedy-Palmore was wearing proper protective equipment for motorcycle operators, and was taken to UC Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The Bearcats visit Ohio State on Saturday.

Damn, tough luck man. Also why I will never ride a motorcycle as my main mode of transportation.

I hadn't heard of this guy, but my first thought was, "Should I try to get his backup for my fantasy football team?"

RIP, though.

Terrible tragedy, it really takes all the fun out of the game Saturday. Ohio State announced they will have a moment of silence for the young man, hopefully the family will benefit from the payers from the 100+ thousand in attendance and those watching.
