Bloody Mary Suggestions - Fer a Tailgate

Next week the Catholics travel to Tempe, AZ to take on the Devils in a college football game with playoff implications. Kickoff is 1:30pm MST and we are starting our festivities around 8am.

Menu will consist of Caldo, Menudo, Breakfast Burros and then transition into a lunch time feast of grilled meats.

Need the Planet's wisdom on Bloody Mary's...looking for your homemade efforts, tips, tricks and insights. As well as your preferred vodka to mix in.

Thanks!

I make them spicy. My ex used to like me to make it with Absolut Peppar but I'm not a huge fan of Absolut. In a perfect world you'd have a yummy vodka like Stoli elit because they you could just sip it too, but it doesn't matter. You shouldn't taste the vodka anyways, theres so much fun stuff to put in it.

Just no cheap vodka. And garnish with celery stalk, pickle, jalapeno, lime, lemon, olive and shrimp.

Cheap vodka is just fine for Mary's, if its made right you wont be able to tell if its Absolut or Jim Bobs anyway.

Cheap vodka = antifreeze

so, appropriate I suppose.

Decent vodka. Zing zang. Worchestershire. Cholula. Pepperocini. Green olives with a splash of juice. Lime and celery to garnish. Sriracha at the end for extra kick.

That's what I'm working with right now. Delicious.

Vodka infused cherry tomatoes rolled in celery salt.

I'll throw a pickle in too most of the time. Extra points if they're garlic flavored.

This sounds yummy. So do the salt coated balls.

Tito's is fine mid range vodka. I usually have Svedka on hand though.

There was a place in Daytona FL I used to frequent when I was there quiet a bit. Good friend lives there. We used to get bloody marys for breakfest. Literally just the bloody mary. They looked something like this:

Useless contribution but you now have me jonsing for a bloody mary.

I like red beers at a tailgate too. Just lime, zing zang and a cheap domestic.

I have never added bacon.

Holy shit, wife/woman/girlfriend/bartender fail.

And for real, don't mess around and buy some different mix. Just go with zing zang and be happy.
