Chex Mix, how do you do it?

Chex mix is a Christmas-time staple at the FMB! abode. I really like the original kind on the box, with deluxe mixed nuts (none of that peanut-rich BS), rice, corn, and wheat Chex, and Goldfish crackers. Sometimes I'll add bagel chips or melba toast.

How do you do it? What's a "must" for Chex mix?

Worcestershire and butter

I usually buy some Chex Mix and dump it in a bowl.

Crushed up in a hamburger patty.

You people buying Chex mix are really missing out on the good stuff. It doesn't compare to homemade.

I haven't had the homemade stuff in years. My grandma used to make it every year. Looong before you could buy it in the store.

I agree with you. Good stuff.

My dad always made it around holidays (probably still does), also long before you could buy it.

I wouldn't suggest buying chex mix during this time of the season.

Corn Chex.

In a bowl with a little sugar and milk.

Not that I would, but why?

TrebMaxx 12-19-2014 11:15 AM

Homemade is the best. I like to use rice, corn, and wheat Chex, cheerios, cashews, pretzels, and Goldfish Crackers or Cheez-its. Butter, Worcestershire, garlic powder and season salt gets the job done.
