Pick 14 of KCs 21 Free Agents to Re-Sign
I'm going to be doing a new mock up with who KC retains, who they cut, and who they sign with whatever money I end up with. You pick who they retain and who they cut from my polls. Pick 14 of the 21 free agents KC has in 2015... I'll use the top vote getters.

Bumpin' need more action to go with the cuts one :D

Can't do it. I ended at 7.

JMJ still has a yr left... not a FA.
KC should retain Hammond and Harris, since they are cheap ERFAs. Tag and try to give a long-term deal to Houston. Try to retain Parker or Coleman as safeties, and Harris as backup OT.. cut Stephenson. Keep Martin on a low end RFA offer. High priority to re-sign Hudson. The rest from your list can **** off. |
According to Spotrac, Nick Williams is signed through 2015 for $510,000.
|
I could only retain 12. 14 is too many. And I was being generous when retaining a few of those 12.
|
I can easily retain 14. Outside of Houston, Hudson and Parker, the others will be looking at vet minimum. If they don't perform in training camp, they'll be release with no salary cap implications.

My bad on Williams and Johnson. One was supposed to be Gordon, TE and the other was supposed to be Moses, LB iirc.
|
I might adjust the number re-signed in the end to 12. Depends on what I think when the voting is over.
|
For the record, I re-signed everyone but McGlynn, Linkenbach, Ryan Harris, Avant, Hemingway, Hammond, jr. and Supernaw, who is a Raven.
|
forgot kc cut supernaw in december... they signed him off the ravens practice squad... cut him, then the ravens signed him back to their 53... kid gets around more than a $2 whore there's probably a chance KC could re-sign him in the offseason hahaa

who the **** voted for Chris Owens?

I think that some of you guys are forgetting that the Chiefs will have a 90 man roster through mid-August. There's no harm in signing vet minimum contracts because they don't count against the cap until the season begins and even so, it can be as low as 60%, not 100%. Depending on service, a $1 million dollar contract only counts around $600k towards the cap. Plus, injuries can and will happen. It's better to have guys signed that have played in the system as depth. |
