Xavier Cooper, DE, Washington State
I like this kid a bunch. Have him in the late 1 to mid 2 range in my mind. I want to see his workouts. Tape is solid, gets consistent pressure on the QB, plays very good gap discipline football against the run. Solid size at 6-4 298.

I like the kid from clemson. Jarret iirc.
Bit undersized, but could be a great 3 tech for us and be gotten later in the draft |
I think Cooper and Jarrett are both really good DL prospects. Cooper was awesome against Oregon this year.

I was just watching tape on Cooper. This kid is ridiculously athletic for someone at his size.
I completely agree he's a perfect fit for us. I don't know that we have space for him, however. We've already got three starting-caliber DEs in Allen Bailey, Jaye Howard, and Vance Walker, and that doesn't even include Mike DeVito who we all think is going to get cut. |
I think a rotation of talented big men on the DL is so important that you have to be at least 5 deep on the DL in a 3-4. It's very different than OL who you hope play every snap for you all year. Using a pick in any round on a rotational DL player is not a bad move IMO.

Whatever happened to embedding videos of these cats in the discussion threads?
