3D movies don't impress me

I don't see the appeal in having an adult, non animated film in 3D. Or spending on the money on it over a regular screening.

If it's a kids movie, or animated, then I get it and can be worth it. But a movie like Mad Max, if I saw that in 3D over standard it'd be a waste to me.

Am I in the wrong here?

Alice in wonderland 3-D was awesome.
Off with their heads. I took my kid,she must have been 6 or 7. Watched it. Then thought to myself. I really need to see this again without the kid & stoned out of my mind. So I did about a month later. Stoned out of my mind. Good times

I've been to a few. I like them.

More importantly, my teenage son likes them.

I've probably just got old man syndrome when it comes to movies. I'm not old though.

I just like crystal clear picture, and 2D.

It's stupid. It ****s with the image brightness. It's annoying as shit. And it costs 3x as much.

Glad I'm not alone.

well, you are not wrong. Its just a way for theaters and movie studios to price gouge.

Its a business.....if demand is still there, then it wont end. I have noticed that its appeal has dropped since the heyday of 3-4 years ago.

The worst thing by far is that they take the largest screens for the new movies and they're almost always in 3D.

Not a fan. Only exception is something like Life of Pi which was specifically filmed to be seen in 3D.

This is part of the reason I brought this up.

3D movies are very popular.

Yes, but in my area, ive noticed they will take 2 or 3 showings a day and show it without the 3D. At least some theaters give you the option instead of forcing it on you.

At my theater the biggest screens are almost always reserved for 3D only.

IMAX is the shit.

Saw Avengers in 3d and I was blown away. I thought it was awesome and made you feel more involved in the movie.

Hate it in theaters. Love it on my 3D Samsung.
