So, golf spikes bugs, pissed off wife, twice...so wife with bad Poison Ivy

Ordered a bunch of stuff for son and wife bug stuff. Not here til next week. If you have been following the trials and tributations of bug bites..which has now morphed into poison ivy.

She got the poison ivy shots and has the prescription pills as well, it is still spreading. Done the pink crap and next is the Zanfeldal , the green tube??? $30 a bottle.

She is in pain. Still spreading.

Ideas?... Antifreeze...chop off her hands (can't scratch without nails), Got to put in BJ's ( not mentioned much on CP..cure all)

dunno.

I was in a coma for the last 10 yrs

You should duct tape her hands to her sides so she can't scratch. If she's bitching at you then you're required to break wind 3 inches down and 4 inches off from her top lip with the wind at your face.

If she's still bitching do it again and before she can exhale use duct tape over mouth/nose.

Poison ivy doesn't spread. The oil could still be present on body, clothing or animal. It can be hard to wash out of clothing. Hot water and double rinse even a second washing isn't unheard of.

to funny....
talking with wife now, she hasn't been in weeds/trees etc. We have new Pups (6 months old...fun). We are thinking that maybe the pups (shepard/husky mix) have run throu the forest/weeds and brought the oil from poison ivy on their fur. Then she pets them and then the shit flies?

The cure for a wife with poison ivy is to make love to her.

I had terrible poison ivy the days before a trip to Puerto Rico. Upon my arrival, I went to the beach and let the currents take me where they wanted while I drug my afflicted leg across the sand. I awoke the next morning to find the sore completely dried out and well on its way to healing.

So... book a flight to Puerto Rico (you could risk going to ANY beach but I have no experience on the matter in anything but Caribbean Sea waters) and drag her around the ocean floor a bit. She will be right as rain in no time.

It spreads by spreading the oil. That means it's either embedded under her fingernails or on something else.
I get it bad when I get it. What you have to do is wash your hands like 20 times, scrubbing under the nails. Wash every piece of clothing (sheets, blankets, pillow cases etc) she touched, multiple times. Wash the dog. Get Clorox wipes and wipe the light switches, car steering wheel, door handles, computer keyboard, fridge and microwave handle, etc. Basically anything you think she might be touching and getting oil from.

I just got over poison ivy on my arm. I used rubbing alcohol to clean the affected area twice a day followed by a liberal dose of Ivarrest. It burned like hell, but worked like a charm

Sure you didn't bring home bedbugs from camp?

I have it on my arms right now too - I use Mr.Clean - recommended by a pharmacist - works great to stop itch and dry it out.....and what blaise said - i would say absolutely from the dogs - not sure how you keep them out of the PI - but your wife cannot go near them.

Go to the doctor and have her get a steroid shot. My wife is allergic to poison ivy. The shot is the only thing that dries it out for her when she gets a bad case of it.
