That's it…..

I have been a fan of this franchise for over 30 years now. Through good times and bad, the highs and lows. And frankly, there have been too many gut wrenching lows. I believe I actually lost my mind in the few moments following this abortion of a game.

I finally had to ask myself… "Is it really worth it?" I'm on the edge of lunacy for a franchise that seems to delight in causing it. I was about ready to quit this very night as Denver brought that fumble into the end zone, and I said, "No, that's not fair."

But it does deserve an ultimatum. It is Super Bowl or bust for me this year. Nothing less than the Lamar Hunt Trophy at the end of it is going to keep me emotionally beholden to this team and sport like some sort of battered wife syndrome.

I know nobody else will probably really care. What's one anonymous Chief's fan in California? But, its a big deal to me. I held season tickets while lived there. Partied in the parking lots. But its just not worth it to me any longer to be out here, away from any semblance of game day atmosphere, and sit in front of my TV set to watch my team continually lose every meaningful game it plays. There is absolutely no payoff to it or for it.

But, I'm going to give them this season. I'm going to root very hard for them because I do think they have a decent opportunity this year. And if it doesn't end with at least an AFC Championship, I'm going to walk away. I just can't find the upside to it any more.

We are a mediocre franchise. We all have to accept it.

Needs new ownership.

They are committed. They have assembled 80% of what they need. We just have a head coach who can't learn from his mistakes.

After the game ended, I actually started laughing.

Saleenman607 09-17-2015 10:39 PM

Psyko Tek 09-17-2015 10:39 PM

this is a great team
any competent coach could win games

I WANT CRAZY TODD
BACK
he could win games with this teram
DV would trade the D away for scat back
romeo would trade the d FOR JELLY DONUT
GUNTHER WOULD HAVE MAYBE A BETTER IDEA ON THE OFFENSE
MARTY IS TO OLD, AND WOULD ONLY WIN DURING THE REGULAR SEASON

so no more retreads who's next ?

It's not worth it.

That's why you shouldn't commit very much effort into giving a shit.

This is the proper reaction. We all knew it was coming.

They broke me after the playoff loss to Indy (you know which one). I can't imagine how angry I would be after this loss if I was as emotionally invested as I was prior to that playoff loss.

Overprivileged? Please tell me about those privileges I've collected in these 30 years of futility. Please, talk me off the edge.
