Dwight Freeney
This board is slooooow....
Would you sign at a vet minimum to serve as depth until Houston gets back? He is begging for work and says he will go anywhere... |
I'd sign him just to work with Dee Ford on trying to develop a spin move.
|
Vet minimum? Yes

We need to sign somebody.
Unless Stainer err Staylor really does have a direct line to God and knows that Houston is going to be 100% Day 1. |
For a bare bones vet deal with no bonus? Probably, just until Houston is firing on all cylinders again.

I don't think the Chiefs need to make any drastic moves like signing Dwight Freeney just for the sake of saying, "Well, we wanted to be prepared for Houston not being around for a couple weeks." If they do that, I can easily see Freeney stinking up the joint and having fans lambast Dorsey for bringing him aboard. |

I figure that Houston would play this year, it's just a matter of WHEN Houston is 100%. I really don't want to lose 2/3 games waiting if we can sign a cheap vet to help us short term. Do you trust Ford even in the short term? |
No to one-dimensional, broke-dick, has-beens.

This is entirely about finding a guy to replace Hali should the need arise due to injury or rotation in the game. Yeah, that's pretty important, but I don't think an equally washed up vet like Freeney is the answer. I'd rather just roll with Zombo/Massaquoi and take the mulligan. |
not saying we should sign him but he was the only pass rusher the Cardinals had in the playoffs worth a shit. Surprised he cant find work hes still a capable 3rd down rush specialist 8 sacks in 11 games isnt bad for a part time player

Don't think we need him between Ford/Hali/Nichols those guys could combine for 12 sacks well be ok.
