To get a running start at the LOS during kicks and jump over the line? Watching the broncos blocked XP against the saints. I could have swore that wasn't allowed. Any rule experts?

It's illegal if you make contact. If it's a clean jump it's fine.

I'm not an expert either, but I believe it's legal as long as you don't come down on top of a player. The Bronco player got a clean hurdle.
