CHIEFS-DONKS game
Happy Thanksgiving all! I'm mulling over attending the Chiefs-Donks game on Christmas night since I'm passing through KC that day. I was just wondering; is there public transportation from the International Airport to the stadium? I read here how much of a hassle parking is, so I'm hesitant to rent a car. What other options are there? Any recommendations? Thank you in advance!

I wouldn't be afraid to rent a car. I've been to every home game this season and had zero issues with parking. Just don't try to show up at the stadium an hour before kickoff. If you get there early, you'll have zero issues.

Yeah, KC isn't exactly world famous for it's public transportation. Car is your best bet

has anyone used a taxi service from the airport. i really don't know.
asking for a friend. ;) |
The only hassle is leaving the stadium after the game.
If you don't want to rent a car, you could always use Uber or Lyft. |

What about from the game?
Going to the xmas game myself, 5 of us. Staying at the Embassy in Westport. Assuming we can shuttle to the game from Embassy, but how home? Isn't there a line of taxis and buses that sit in front of Kauffman? Could always Uber it. 25th consecutive year of attending a game at Arrowhead and the first time we won't be tailgating. |
there is a special dropoff/pickup area for taxis and Uber/Lyft. I think it's near the Royals stadium. Not sure exactly where but there's this free service called Google whee you can look up things on the internet. :D
The airport is 25 minutes north west of the stadium. I think an Uber ride would be about 18 bucks. |

I'll be at Arrowhead on Christmas night for the game. Flying in the evening before and staying at the Sheraton. Not renting a car.
Leaving on Wednesday morning. |
