Robotic Vacuum Cleaners
Anybody own one?
Looking to get my wife one for Xmas and have just started researching them. The iRobot ones are crazy expensive compared to others. |
I want one bad—but they are all so expensive right now. I hate vacuuming. I'll wait 'til most have one until they need to drop prices to move them. Kinda like how that happened with smart tv prices dropping.

I bought a Neato a few years ago, worked great for a few months then the battery life went to shit. Bought replacement batteries and they didn't last long either. Now it wont even try to charge. $300 down the drain.
|
I've seen them for $900-$1000 dollars. $300 is the cheapest I ever heard.

I've had an iRobot for five year and it's still in the box, unopened.
I guess I need to try it someday. |
I bought a Eufy about 6 weeks ago. Does well except it always gets stuck on the vents if I don't block them off.

I was getting everything at cost, with free labor, and didn't want to spend the extra K. |

The $99 Hoover Windtunnels I purchased at Costco lasted three times as long. |
I have the Eufy as well, works well but I have the occasional problem with the vents as well. We recently went to hardwood floors and with a dog after a couple days the amount of hair was horrible. The Eufy keeps things pretty good even if it occasionally gets stuck.
I saw another one that was recently released that mops as well but haven't really followed up with that. Overall we are happy with the Eufy Robovac and it does a pretty good job. I got mine for about 130 on amazon. |
I have a Roomba, and it's amazing. Works great on both hard surfaces, as well as carpet. I've recommended them to pretty much everyone. You can get an 800 series at Costco for around $400.
