Mike Tomlin

Rumors out of Pittsburgh are that some of their board members will be lobbying for a coaching change

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...aching-change/

Would you be open to Tomlin as our DC if that happens?

DC? Of course, lol.

But there isn't a chance in hell he's taking a DC job.

loochy 01-16-2018 11:29 AM

He wouldn't take a demotion. He would not have a hard time finding another HC gig.

Reerun_KC 01-16-2018 11:30 AM

He won’t be out of a job for long.

old_geezer 01-16-2018 11:31 AM

As a DC? no. As a head coach? Hell yes.

jd1020 01-16-2018 11:31 AM

Tomlin has been to 2 Superbowls since being the coach of the Steelers, winning 1, and you think hes going to take a demotion if he is fired by the Steelers?

I think I speak for everyone when I say ROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFLROFL

Rasputin 01-16-2018 11:31 AM

And yet Chiefs give Andy Reid extension and keep Sutton....

NIUhuskies 01-16-2018 11:31 AM

Most of the teams with HC opening are going with offensive guys to groom their young QBs. I agree, it’d be hard to see him take a demotion but I also wouldn’t be shocked to see him wait for the right opportunity and be a DC for a few years at the right place

Sassy Squatch 01-16-2018 11:32 AM

Terry Bradshaw was right about this guy being a cheerleader. Do not want. We've already got a HC that won't use common sense when it comes to basic football.

Now way that happens. Three coaches since 1969 and current coach has 48 wins including playoffs in 4 years. Not exactly the Steeler's M.O.

Ya, like replacing Gruden in the booth.

carcosa 01-16-2018 11:33 AM

Fire Reid's big ol' butt and bring Tomlin in for a look.

Yeah good point, that’s probably more realistic

Titty Meat 01-16-2018 11:35 AM

Tomlin for DC Revis for Secondary coach!!1!

Why Not? 01-16-2018 11:35 AM

If Tomlin is fired, which I wouldn't fault the Steelers for as he can't beat the Patriots(or even get to them in this year's scenario)and his teams are never buttoned up with their talking and social media nonsense, he probably becomes the next Gruden. He's great with the media. He can go do TV for a few years and either wait for BB to retire or take an NFC job down the road. I see no scenario where he becomes a DC
