Martez Carter - Tarik Cohen 2.0?

I've never heard of this guy, but Walterfootball had him mocked to us in the 4th round. The guy has crazy burst and is considered to be a bigger version of Cohen. Him and Tyreek would be fun in this offense. He might be a much better replacement than DAT. Thoughts?

Sure, why not. If not him, at least another guy like this. A DAT replacement is something we could use. Hill is great on punts, but if we could get someone who can give us 90% of what Hill can then great. Keep Hill fresh for offense snaps.

I would like to see his times first. Just based on those highlights, he isn’t on the the same level of Hill or Cohen when it comes to speed/athleticism. I don’t see him being any more than a maybe returner and possibly 3rd down back. Maybe. Would rather go I’to Smith if we’re going for small ellusive back.

Only issue I have with these types of players is that it's hard to know if they will transition to the NFL to be a legitimate threat every time they touch the ball (aka Tyreek Hill) or if they will be a gadget player where you really have to scheme your offense to try to give these players a chance at production.

Dexter McCluster wasn't a bad player but in round 2 he was a disappointment, DAT I think has been a let down since he hasn't really been a factor even on special teams and his role seems to diminish a little bit more every season.

The Kansas City Chiefs offense has explosive players already, what the Chiefs lack on offense is consistency.

We’ve already got Hunt and Ware. All we would need him for is a returner and gadget player. With the success Cohen had last year with the Bears coming from a small school and being a smaller guy I think he could translate well in more of a spread system like we run.

Nobody is on Hill’s level period but I think he’s pretty comparable to Cohen

I feel ya on that, just don’t know if this guy is the one to go with for that gadget role. Want to see his times but just based on that footage, i don’t think he’s going to test as well as even a Cohen or even T.J Logan. I like his balance and vision though, you can tell he knows how to run the rock.
