Chad Reuter 5 round Mock

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...baker-mayfield

54. Dorance Armstrong, EDGE
78. Braden Smith, OG
86. Tarvarus McFadden, CB
122. Rashaan Gaulden, CB
124. Jordan Akins, TE

Don't really like overall, have mentioned before I don't like edge at 54 and also Isiah Oliver is still on the board at 54. This mock also has Taven Bryan going at 43, I would be tempted to trade up to there for him if the premium CB's had gone.

Like the McFadden pick at 86, I like two CBs drafted but don't know anything about Gaulden.

Overall a Meh draft

Yeah, I looked at it today and it's pretty disgusting to be honest. Dorance Armstrong in the 2nd? ****, he's a 6th round pick in my eyes.

Let's load up on CBs that can't run. Moving them both to FS there Reutdrrrrrr? The guy can a be a real idiot.

This is the second mock posted here (the Draftek one being the other) that has Tim Settle outside the top 100 (this one has him in the 5th round). I would love to get Settle in the 4th.

Maurice Hurst? He's a beast and if he fell to the point where the cost isn't too high I would love him.

If Hurst or Bryan are still there at 40, I would be inquiring as to what the trade up cost is.

Hurst to me has a chance to be a dominant player but the heart condition leaves a lot of questions.

They cleared any concerns that arose out of those precautionary tests. I doubt this has any affect on his draft stock. I expect him to go late 1st, early 2nd. I like him a lot and would be stoked if somehow the Chiefs selected him.

Too many people watch Settle’s “highlights”. Watch entire games.

He is on the ground too often and is a 2 down player. He will have trouble controlling his weight, like Poe, in a smaller frame. He tested poorly athletically and has not demonstrated the stamina to be an every down player at the next level. 4th/5th round projections are merited amid his “splash plays” that catch people’s eyes.

So you saw he won't be able to control his weight watching entire games?

I thought people were too high on him pre-combine, but the drop post combine is ridiculous. Doing a shitty 3 cone or whatever doesn't change the fact that he clearly has the ability to make plays, PFF graded him in the top 10 interior defender prospects (hint: they don't just watch highlights).

I don't think he's amazing or anything, there are concerns like his athletic ability and his weight, but that's why he's around a third round talent so getting him in the 4th would be good value for the Chiefs (or whoever picks him up) in my opinion, and the 5th would be a steal.

It’s in scouting reports regarding the weight issue. You indicated “surprise” at Settle being out of the Top 100, but he was initially projected as a 4th-5th round pick, saw his stock explode when some got enamoured with highlights, and since the combine has come back down to Earth. I don’t disagree there could be value in the late 4th/5th for Settle, but first and second round projections are outlandish.

I've never seen Settle as a 4th round or later projection until post-combine. He came out with a 2nd round grade in every pub I saw. I still remain a firm believer he doesn't drop out of the 3rd. He has too much ability.
