Which historically elite offense will we come closest to?

Let us run down the top 10 scoring offenses in NFL history:

1. 2013 Broncos - 606 points
2. 2007 Patriots - 589 points
3. 2011 Packers - 560 points
4. 2012 Patriots - 557 points
5. 1998 Vikings - 556 points
6. 2011 Saints - 547 points
7. 2016 Falcons - 540 points
8. 2000 Rams - 540 points
9. 1999 Rams - 526 points
10. 2004 Colts - 522 points

Current Chiefs pace: 640 points

Can we get into the top 10?

It's a bit early for that

Still, could be a 1999-2000 Rams situation

The 1999 Rams had a much better defense, though

The world has yet to experience anything like what’s about to happen.

Absolutely. Will likely cool off for a few games, but I would almost be surprised if we aren't top ten. Would take an injury to a certain player that I won't mention.

We certainly look like a team that's going to put up 500 points. 99 Rams are the only team on that list that won a Super Bowl.

That's my vote, too. This team is like the 99 Rams in that we're unleashing a great new QB onto the league with massive talent at the skill positions and a defense that's good enough to withstand the other teams' catchup offenses.

You'll be surprised if they don't average 33/game? Might be a stretch.

If the defense were stronger, they'd probably get there easily. But teams are going to play the way we used to and eat up clock. We scored 42 in 27 minutes today.ROFL

There will also be turnovers.

Does this count special team/defense points? Because last week 6 pts came from a punt return.

Jerok 09-16-2018 04:28 PM

Our defense is so bad we will be forced to score 40 points a game if we want to win. So I say we have a shot at the top 10. Mahomes is used to that sort of thing from college.

Kind of fun to have the offense that the other team wants to limit the chances instead of being the guys trying to limit their chances.

I went Rams, they were the sexiest damn thing in my lifetime... until now

And as you said last night, we have the #1 tight end in the game... not Roland Williams

Pablo 09-16-2018 04:52 PM

Well I don't see why we can't have 3 or 4 on that list down the road; but I'll settle for 2011 Pack.

It may take an all-time scoring record to do anything this year, the way this D gives it up.
