Your expectations for Eric Berry's (hopeful) return

It sounds like the Chiefs are expecting EB to practice next week (though that doesn't necessarily mean he'll actually play in a game yet). Just thought it'd be interesting to check the pulse of ChiefsPlanet in terms of expectations.

I don't expect him to make a meaningful impact. Even if he has the surgery in the off-season it could mean another torn Achilles.

Super. Bowl. Champs.

Hopefully it's even 1% better than Sorenson's effect after returning. Dan wasn't;t that great to begin with but he's super meh now.

He'll never have a meaningful impact on a game again.

That's kind of where I'm at. I don't expect Berry to ever play at a pro bowl level again, but his smarts are good enough to be better than Sorensen and Parker at least. I went with "make a minor difference in the playoffs" personally.

Well, that's what happens when we have it out guarding receivers one on one on outside coverage. Sorenson will benefit big time from berry coming back.

This is doable.

If he can play then he is going make a big impact.

Rasputin 11-23-2018 06:34 PM

I know every other team we face are scared of Berry return and the playoff contention teams don't want him back.

Rasputin 11-23-2018 06:37 PM

The big impact is his on the field leadership getting guys in position where they need to be to make plays.

I think his presence will boost Houston the most and energize this defense.

Injured, bone-spurred cancer-ridden non-practicing Eric Berry is still at least 50% better than our current safeties.

Demonpenz 11-23-2018 06:40 PM

I expect him to be carted off

I agree. The only question I have is for how long? I can see him being an upgrade, but can he stay healthy?

Rasputin 11-23-2018 06:44 PM

A Phylis interception for a pick 6

TinyEvel 11-23-2018 06:52 PM

I mean, has there been any new of Berry even working out? While he was getting his cancer treatments, he had famously never stopped working out and had regressed very little during that year.

Any news of similar conditioning upkeep? Hopefully he doesn't look below the sweatsuit like he does in the beard/hair.
