Patrick Mahomes vs Zone & vs Man-to-Man
 

What are the stats and rankings for Mahomes vs Zone and then vs Man-to-man? Would be interesting to know moving forward. Most teams either play mainly man-to-man or zone coverage schemes - or at least prefer one over the other. It also appears some QBs (even good ones) are vastly different QBs based on the coverage scheme they have to play.

Also - what kind of coverage schemes do the Colts play, Chargers, Pats and everybody else remaining in the playoffs?

I don’t know the stats but from watching this entire season, I do know Mahomes ripped it against zone coverage schemes.

Didn't the Squealers play zone in the game against them? He got 6 TD against them.

They are running a version of an older Steelers D. They talked about that a lot during the game where both NT's play the A-gap with cover 2 in the secondary.

They did last year. But not this year.

The best way to beat the zone is with velocity. That's why DCs like it. Most QBs don't have sufficient velocity to regularly beat a zone.
