What was the difference in the defense today/tonight?

Let's talk about it.

Nobody is beating the Chiefs if they play like they did today.

Sassy Squatch 01-12-2019 08:09 PM

Wonder if Harris/Smith were still calling the plays.

Today they eliminated bad football, and played good football.

Rausch 01-12-2019 08:09 PM

They believe.

They aren't afraid of the worst.

They now know what's possible.

They know what's possible because they've actually witnessed it on THEIR team for once...

Hitchens said it pretty well, "It's not what we do, it's how we do it."

In other words, have faith in the system and play fast (and with solid fundamentals).

I agree with Hitch and I think that's the difference.

They looked like they did most every game at home except the end of the Chargers game. Luck did his best Bortles impersonation, threw balls in the dirt, fumbled, etc. If the ball did hit a Colt receiver, they dropped it.

The Colts really did play like shit.

Roleo!

Luck sucked so that helped immensely, but the big difference was downfield coverage.

I think it was a combination of good coverage and playoff referees letting the guys play.

This.

They have more belief than worry.

Tackling, getting consistent pressure on Luck and no blown coverages in the secondary.
