Old performers...Gordon Lightfoot
Not sure many care or even know who Gordon Lightfoot is...
Wife and I went to St Joe last night to see this 81 year old legendary songwriter do a concert. What a thrill for us who remember him from our days in the late 60s... The voice has lost range and his stamina shows some weakness. But the lyrics and passion for his music and love of his audience was amazing. If you are not familiar, take some time out and enjoy what music a great songwriter can do and listen to a 12 string guitar in the hands of a master.... I feel blessed to have seen Gordon in person... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/LfyDs6uXww0" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Used to smoke a little uh, weed, and listen to him on vinyl in my buddies basement back in high school

I'm a big fan of Gordon. Greatest freighter song ever.

The love I have for the song "Sundown" is forever.

I’m only in my early 40’s but I dig me some GL. Would be very cool to see him live. I saw BB King live when he was 81 and he didn’t seem to miss a beat.
