Looking for KC recommendations for a friend
I have a friend from my school days who recently moved to KC. He's looking for things to do to get him out of the house and meet people. He likes arcades, comics, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Stranger Things, D&D, karaoke, plays guitar (used to be in a band in Austin, TX), antiques, tattoos, and dead things (he's a coroner). He's not into sports...at all. I'm mostly familiar with sports and touristy things in KC, so I thought I'd come ask the experts. Any places come to mind?

I’m going t go out on a limb and say this guy doesn’t have a girlfriend. From your description of his likes, I’m guessing he’s never had a girlfriend.

Is he gay?

I don't know if it is still there, but A to Z Books in Blue Springs used to have a great selection of Comic Books. This is going back many, many years though.
There are many cool old cemeteries in the Kansas City area. Of course the haunted houses in KC during the fall are WORLD CLASS. I haven't seen anything that compares anywhere in the USA. It really is special. There was once a big Antique Mall on 40Hwy East of where Stevenson's used to be. That place was pretty cool. But again, I haven't lived in KC for over 20 years. |
