Apparently they don't care if their TE can catch. Goff isn't a great pure drop back guy so they have to run the ball and use playaction.

I still think it's a massive overpay though.

Because he ain't a scrambler and he doesn't improvise worth a shit. He has a fantastic deep ball and generally very good accuracy when he's protected.

I'd say 'pure drop back guy' is exactly what he is.

It's weird if you look at his numbers, he is far away the best when he uses playaction, in the Superbowl without being able to use it very well he played terrible.
