Great listen - long suffering Chiefs fan lets it all go
https://www.stucknut.com/takebox/?id=29d5
Sorry if this is a repost, I couldn't find it anywhere. I believe? this is the Jim Rome show. I think I remember this guy - Kenny Iafrate - calling in after the Royals won it all. Dude should have his own show, he's good. |
He nailed it today.
|
I religiously listened to the Jim Rome show for over a decade, from the mid 90s well into the 2000s and had no idea Iafrate was a Chiefs fan. And yes, he nailed it. Thanks for posting that, it was a blast from the past.

He forgot joe Delaney but otherwise it perfect!
|
That was awesome
|
Listening to it multiple times. Nails, exactly how we all feel!
|
Yes, everyone needs to listen to this, even if you HATE Jim Rome.
Rome doesn't say hardly anything. They guy that speaks is EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US. |
That was great.

He could be my twin brother.

"...it's not about the 50, it's about the insane stuff that happened in those 50. Insane stuff that would extinguish the soul of any reasonable fan."
This man is my new spirit animal. I can't even comprehend how phenomenal that was. MODS: THIS SHOULD BE A STICKY FOR A FEW DAYS |
Perfect

Wow, thanks for sharing. I don’t know that anyone could top that explanation.

Required listening for anyone who doesn't understand what Sunday meant for us.

I guess I feel the same. Which is never something I thought I'd say. I wonder if this is similar to why people who do hard time for a crime they didn't commit usually seem not that mad about it when they get out. It's part of you now - to regret the last X years is to regret yourself. I also like how he referenced the 3 heartbreaking beatdowns we just put on 3 teams to win this thing. We're doing to other teams what Elway used to do to us. You're left bewildered wondering how in the hell did that just happen? |
