Trying to set themselves up to not blitz in a possible rematch...

Is he a point guard or a forward?

ToxSocks 10-22-2020 09:10 AM

Wait...wasn't he just traded from the Jaguars?

yes

So Vikes basically traded a 2nd for a 3rd for nothing. Yikes, Vikes.

Skyy God 10-22-2020 09:16 AM

Your move for OL help, Veachy.

duncan_idaho 10-22-2020 09:16 AM

Smart move for them.

Did he stand up at all in college? With the Vikings and and Jags, he has always played with a hand on the ground. Will be an adjustment, I think, but gives them a lot more pass rush from their front/without blitzing as much.

Dunerdr 10-22-2020 09:20 AM

I dont see this being a difference maker against us tbh. Hes good but it wasnt just lack of pass rush. Our D ****ing wrecked shit too.

RealSNR 10-22-2020 09:28 AM

He was actually playing really well for them. Basically the only guy on that front 7 worth any kind of a shit since Danielle Hunter and Anthony Barr got season-ending injuries.

Why the **** wouldn't you build around him for future years? He's absolutely that kind of DE. Hunter + Ngakoue would have been a ****ing lethal tandem.

My guess is they still needed to do his extension and Spielman had second thoughts about the size of the contract it would inevitably turn into.

If you haven't done so already, thank your lucky stars we have Brett Veach, ya'll. Spielman's actually a pretty damn good GM, but he's not a space wizard who can mysteriously bend the laws of mathematics and the salary cap

Holy ****. I live in the land of Vikings fans, they can't be too happy.

Hammock Parties 10-22-2020 09:31 AM

It's a trick. Get an Andy.

So with these two deals from the vikings they went from a early 2nd round pick to a late 3rd.

Great job Minnesota!

ChiefBlueCFC 10-22-2020 09:35 AM

The Chiefs absolutely terrify the NFL

staylor26 10-22-2020 09:37 AM

I honestly don’t see us playing the Ravens again.

Because Ngakoue wants to be paid as a 1A DE when in reality he's either a 1B or a 2A. Danielle Hunter is a better player so they can't pay both. What this move really does is after the year the Ravens have to choose either him or Judon as they're both on 1 year deals.
