Veach's '21 Offseason Plan to Keep Us Thriving: Let's speculate
 

In order to prevent us wasting precious years of Patrick Mahomes' career, Veach needs to work some magic this offseason. What's your advice for him?

find the same compromising photos of Goodell that Brady has....

Figure out how to prevent injuries. That’s what tanked us this year.

On the serious though.....
Let Sammy and DRob walk.
Find a young X receiver.
Figure out the OT position.
Tell Wylie to get ****ed.
Find another DE.

We've already wasted two..

It's going to be difficult to maintain this level of playoff consistency. We needed to cash in these last three years. I'm glad we got one and understand you can't win them all but I'm thinking we should have at least two.

We've got a lot of holes to fill. Outside of Niang coming back and being a Quentin Nelson type of presence to transform this OL, I don't see any quick fixes.

I think Mahomes will keep us competitive though. I'd guess probably an 11-5 or 12-4 kind of season incoming. Give or take a win based on injuries/lucky breaks.

Tailwinds: Tyreek is elite, Hardman runs fast, Pringle can be WR 4/5

Headwinds: We need 2 legitimately good WR's either in FA or draft

Unknown: If Frank will play well in the regular season
Headwinds: Tanoh is JAG, Okafor is JAG - the cupboard is bare here.

Time to start cleaning out some of the deadweight on this team... Watkins, DRob, Wylie, etc.

We are set at QB, RB, and the secondary.

Despite the flavor of the week after that SB thrashing, I think we will be okay on the Oline once we have Fish, Niang and LDT back.

Need an edge rusher badly.

Need a receiver badly. Hardman ain't it. DRob ain't it. Sammy might be cooked like Mitch.

There is no reason to believe Fisher will be available next year.

We have a lot of holes to fill. We'll need to have an amazing draft/UDFA.

OL is a rebuild. DL needs pass rush help. LB could use help. Backup TE. WR needs another starter.

Veach can do it, but we need have some major holes, especially considering we may have lost both Pro Bowl tackles unexpectedly.
