Mahomes to undergo surgery - Rapoport

Source: #Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes will undergo surgery tomorrow to repair a torn plantar plate in his foot, also known as turf toe. The rehab will be several months, but he’s expected to make a full recovery. Noted foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson will perform the procedure.

"WE GOT HIM BOYS!!!

All we have to do is assemble the best front four in the league! Then we just need his entire offensive line to be injured so he's playing with practice squad players!

It was a heck of a run but Mahomes is history!!"

In his post game presser, you could see he had some baggy eyes and just looked really tired. I'm sure the pain from the foot and the week of Super Bowl BS and interviews and Covid and Britt Reid and his wife being major preggo all weighed on him. Hope he comes back fully healthy, a new daddy and ready to do this again.

Deal is there are many things that go under the turf toe umbrella, so it's treated differently... Mine also involved a tear in the plantar plate, located at the ball joint right before my big toe. When it's there, your whole toe hurts pretty much all the time. Happens when your foot is planted and you go another way. I had the same operation 10 years ago. Took about 3.5 months to fully heal. Toe feels great now. No soreness ever, or loss of motion. It's like night and day better than how it felt before the surgery. For those that have ever dealt with this kind of turf toe, the pain can be excruciating. I honestly don't know how he managed to play on it.

Yeah, the solution is to have 80% of the offensive line missing.

Don’t forget the refs spot the opposition 14 points or whatever it was

These are the same morons that unironically think that the Chiefs would've won if Brady and Mahomes switched teams on Sunday.

It's astonishing how much of that take i've seen out there.
