Famous in the 70's is different than in 2021. With only 3 channels of entertainment, if you were a "star" on a hit show, you were a big deal nationwide.

You're a star on a current broadcast hit TV show, I probably have no clue who you are.

They would light up every room they entered /every murder mystery show
