In first with the "I thought he was already dead."

ToxSocks 07-29-2021 09:26 AM

He's no Dusty Hill.

Toss him in the old person ive never heard of thread.

ToxSocks 07-29-2021 09:27 AM

Oh, and RIP, old person ive never heard of.

wazu 07-29-2021 09:30 AM

Nadine DiNinno making a name for herself with this hard-hitting story of much human interest. No doubt she too will one day have a thread on ChiefsPlanet.

Rain Man 07-29-2021 09:34 AM

I guess this means that he's not available in stores any more.

alpha_omega 07-29-2021 09:40 AM

Really? He was all over infomercials in the late 80s early 90s! His company was called Ronco...they made the rotisserie (set it and forget it), the food dehydrator, and the pocket fisherman.

KS Smitty 07-29-2021 09:44 AM

My dad had the pocket fisherman and we still have our Ronco food dehydrator. I still use it and it works just as well as when we bought it in the 80s.

RIP

If it weren't for Weird Al, I would have no idea who this guy was. But as it is, he's one of the few individual people to ever get a Weird Al song written about him. So RIP.

He also sold this machine that cut soda bottles so you could make them into drinking glasses. Yes, I am old.

Wouldn't it just be cheaper to buy new glasses? They're cheap and they last forever (unless you happen to break them)...I don't see the benefit to making your own.

Set him and forget him

Kman34 07-29-2021 12:15 PM

“Hey good lookin! We’ll be back to pick you up later!”

scho63 07-29-2021 12:16 PM

If you grew up in the 70s and 80s, this guy was a legend.
