Rebuild on defense. Offense just needs to play without the pressure of knowing they have to score a TD on every single possession just to have a chance.

It's going to take a couple of offseasons to fully rebuild the defense. There needs to be some sort of focus to get it started. I'd argue the pass rush needs to be priority one but if there's an athletic LB there I wouldn't necessarily pass that up.

D needs an overhaul but that's different than a team entering "rebuild mode"

We need physicality on defense. We have none. Guys that want to go and hit somebody without us having to blitz every play.

We get rid of Clark, Hitchens and Sorensens bad contracts next year. Add a pass rusher. Bump Jones back inside. Get ward and gay healthy. Give spags a little rope but he's gotta be more creative too.

That's plenty fixable without a rebuild. We aren't going to have a dominant defense in the new era. But we have plenty of talent to not be nearly this bad. And we weren't nearly this bad last year with mostly the same players.
