Mansionmania Tournament: Round 2, Heat 2
Mansionmania continues with our 32 2nd-round contestants. You will choose among each pair of houses with the following assumptions:
I encourage you to click on the maps in the listings to see the general location and neighborhood. Also, I will only enter contestants if they have a sufficient number of photos to judge, as determined by me. Your entries in this heat are: Delaware: https://www.realtor.com/realestatean...0_M58295-90451 Virginia: https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/7...82741014_zpid/ (Note: the Virginia house sold and was taken down, but I found it on another web site.) |
Virginia by a mile
|
This is an easy one for me. Virginia is almost a perfect house that's on a nice-size plot of land that's located within easy distance of a major metropolitan area. It's big enough to meet all of my needs, too.
Delaware is a fine house, but it's half the size and I don't like sand being tracked in. Virginia for me. |
The Virginia house was a favorite for the acreage and distance to major cities, didn't even have to look at it.
The Delaware house is too much like SC... homes stacked on top of each other just to be near a beach. Meh. |
What Hoover said.

I don't see a horse stable. Pass.
|
Aw, the VA place sold.
It's a great house and location. |

The Delaware house has "comfy" written all over and enjoy both exterior and interior.
I could handle Delaware if that was my pad. |
This is a pretty tough one.
Neither location is really a part of the country I want to live in, both are beach properties, Virginia is a nicer house, but we all know I'm a whore for cash. Probably going with Virginia because I can get more places within 100 miles. |
Virginia could win this thing outright.
A Potomac mansion on part of Washington’s original Mt. Vernon estate? And the place is just beautiful. Yeah, this is one of the few that may give some of those tropical or Southern California spots a run for their money. |
Virginia. Better house, close to DC. The only "city" within a 100 miles of the Delaware house is Atlantic City. No thanks.

Va
|
I'm going with VA even though that staircase kinda freaks me out. Reminds me of the old Hitchcock movie Vertigo. BTW, a 25 year old Kim Novak ---- well, let's just say I was aware some of my body parts were growing.
